Scholarships

Qualifications 

1. Graduating Senior from Shawano Community High School, Bonduel High School, Wolf River Lutheran High School or a homeschool student in any of those school district limits who plans to attend an accredited technical college, junior college or University  

2. Applicant must complete a short essay, highlighting how you and/or your family have served others and how you intend to continue to do so 

3. One letter of recommendation from someone in your family who has served in the military.  If family member is deceased, student may have someone else write on their behalf.  Please include their branch of service, rank, and any special awards you would like recognized.  (A copy of their DD Form 214 may be requested.)

Application and Selection 

Selection will be made from a special council elected from the VFW members here in Shawano, VFW Post 2723. Applications to be filled out from now through Feb 10. All applications should be completed and submitted no later than Feb 10. Collection of Award 

Student payment will be handled through the District Office.  Proof of college 1st semester grades, proof of 2nd semester enrollment, address of school’s student accounts office and Student ID number to:
